I came to know of three children whose father was in jail in Pike county (drug-related) and whose mother just wanted to party; she pretty much had abandoned them. Their ages are 9,7 and 4; they have an aunt whose been taking care of them and their basic needs, but we pretty much knew that they didn't have any toys or books. So I have purchased some toys and Bible books, boxed them up and mailed to them a couple of times this summer. Also, for back to school, we are sending them Wal-Mart gift cards, with no restrictions on what they spend it for. I put a bracelet in the box, with a short note-about paying "kindness" forward. Truly, it is more blessed to give than to receive, because the deep blessings I felt doing this far far outweighs any shopping I've ever done for myself.

i was at mud creek clinic and there was a 26 yr. old girl who is a missionary in perue. she didn't have much money and had nothing to show what they live on, her husband has 3 churchs and they live on $41.00 a week. i felt the holy spirit telling me to take her some money, which i did. we had a good talk, she's originally from minnie. i talked to her about sarah leckie. needless to say she was excited at what sarah has done. when i left, i felt it was a blessing to me from GOD.

i actually had someone help me. so i gave her the bracelet and she was thrilled. there was a problem when i went to see my back doctor and i didn't think i would be able to see him. she went out of her way, and she was very busy, to make a few calls and get it straightened out. i hope she will pay it forward again for someone.

Well the oppertunity that I had been waiting for came up today.
The Lord does work in mysterious ways.
I received a phone call today from a person that was a former friend of mine. He was looking for someone to do some work for him. He ask if I knew someone willing to do this work. I said I would get back to him. After some guideance from the Lord I called him back and told him that I would do this work for him. He replied that he would be willing to pay good.
The work was completed and he wanted to pay me. I gave him the bracelet and told him to pay it forward. He said that he had seen the movie and he assured me that he would pay it forward.
{Wow how God works when we let him}.

I would really like to hear some stories from other members that have paid it forward....

I have tried to apply this principle in my life for 25 years. It is very fullfilling to be able to help people. Many years ago this was the rule not the exception.
I would love to see this take hold and for people to get more involved and have more respect for one another.

I am currently waiting for the right oppertunity to use my bracelet. When I do I will let you know.
Thanks Roy for all that you do.
God bless

Just wanted to tell how someone "paid it forward" to me. My work truck recently broke down in Perry county (Hazard). I found a way to make it to work, but my truck was still broken down beside the Hal Rogers Parkway. I talked to a friend about what the truck was doing to get some insight on what could be wrong. I was trying to figure out the best, most cost efficient way to get the truck home to be worked on. My friend borrowed a truck and trailer from someone he knew. He called me, then they picked me up, and we towed my truck home. They would not accept any money for their time or troubles, not to mention they probably saved me a $200.00 plus tow bill. This was a blessing to me and my family, and I just hope that I can find a way to pay it forward.
